Yep, you heard it. There is/was an iPhone application in the store that was being sold for $999, and all it did was display a glowing red ruby!
This app was meant to show that your were extremely rich, but what it really did was show you had no common sense.
It was bought by a Jesus Phone user known only as Lee5279xx spilled $1,000 on some red pixels because he was addled enough to think Steve Jobs has a sense of humor.
This just goes to prove you can make some easy money, although for some, I imagine it would be quite hard for some of us to sleep at night having done this!
